ABOUT AGILITY

WHERE EVERY CHILD CAN MOVE, EXPLORE & GROW

Agility Parkour and Gymnastics was established in 2024 in Bloemfontein, Free State, with one simple belief: every child develops at their own pace.

We specialise in Parkour, Rope Skipping and Preschool Parkour/Gymnastics , creating a fun, structured environment where children can build confidence, strength, coordination and movement skills.

We believe children learn best through structured play. Kids naturally love to jump, climb, balance and explore — we simply give them a safe environment to do what they already love while learning the gymnastics discipline of Parkour.

At Agility, it's not just about learning skills. It's about helping children become stronger, braver and more confident — one movement at a time.

MOVE. PLAY. LEARN. GROW.

DISCOVER PARKOUR

AGILITY IN MIND. POWER IN MOTION.

Parkour is movement with purpose — strength, speed, skill and confidence all in motion. It challenges children to see their surroundings differently, push their abilities and sometimes quite literally flip their world upside down.

Parkour consists of two competitive disciplines: Freestyle and Speed Run. Freestyle focuses on skill, creativity, control and movement, while Speed Run challenges athletes to complete a course against the clock.

Through structured training, children develop fundamental movement skills including balancing, vaulting, leaping, climbing and safe landing techniques. Parkour is also about playful exploration. Everyday obstacles and gym structures become a playground filled with opportunities to move, think and discover new possibilities.

WHY PARKOUR?

FULL-BODY FITNESS

Develops functional strength, agility, balance, coordination and overall physical fitness.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Children learn to assess obstacles, manage risk and find real-time solutions to move safely and efficiently from Point A to Point B.

CONFIDENCE

Every new skill and obstacle overcome is a personal achievement. Physical challenges help children work through fears and trust their abilities.

MENTAL RESILIENCE

Parkour teaches persistence. When something doesn't work the first time, athletes learn to adapt, try again and keep moving forward.

PLAY. THINK. MOVE. OVERCOME.

DISCOVER ROPE SKIPPING

JUMP. MOVE. BUILD YOUR RHYTHM.

Rope Skipping is much more than simply jumping over a rope. It is a fast, energetic sport that combines fitness, coordination, rhythm, speed and skill while giving children a fun way to stay active.

At Agility, athletes develop from basic skipping techniques to more advanced footwork, tricks and combinations. As their skills improve, they learn to connect movements together while developing timing, control, endurance and confidence.

WHY ROPE SKIPPING?

COORDINATION & RHYTHM

Skipping develops timing, balance, footwork and hand-eye coordination.

FITNESS & ENDURANCE

Continuous movement helps develop cardiovascular fitness, stamina and overall physical conditioning.

SPEED & AGILITY

Quick footwork and changes in rhythm help athletes become faster, lighter and more agile.

CONFIDENCE & CREATIVITY

Learning new skills, tricks and combinations gives athletes the opportunity to challenge themselves and celebrate their progress.

JUMP. LEARN. CREATE. ACHIEVE.

OUR COACHES

Sharika Myburgh

Sharika Myburgh

Sharika’s journey in gymnastics began at just three years old, first as a competitive gymnast before discovering her passion for coaching at the age of 18. Since then, gymnastics has remained a huge part of her life.

With 18 years of WAG coaching experience and six years of Parkour coaching experience, Sharika brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to every athlete she works with. She holds a Level 3 WAG judging qualification and is also internationally qualified to judge Parkour.

One of the highlights of her judging career came in 2024, when she travelled to Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan, to judge at the 2nd Senior FIG World Championships and the 1st FIG Junior World Championships.

For Sharika, however, coaching is about much more than qualifications and competitions. She genuinely loves working with children, teaching them new skills and watching their confidence grow. Just as importantly, she loves how much she learns from them. Parkour gives children the freedom to think differently, and seeing the creative and unexpected ways they find to move, overcome obstacles and make Parkour their own is one of her favourite parts of coaching.

For Sharika, every child brings something different to the gym — and that individuality is something to be encouraged and celebrated.

MOVE. CREATE. LEARN. GROW.

Liezl Wepener

Liezl Wepener

Liezl’s Parkour journey started in a way many parents will recognise — as a typical “gymnastics mom” supporting from the sidelines. But it didn’t take long before watching from the side turned into getting involved, becoming part of the club and ultimately falling in love with Parkour herself.

For the past two years, Liezl has been actively coaching Parkour and has become an important part of the Agility family. She coaches our Parkour Sprouts, where her passion for working with younger children really shines. She loves watching the little ones arrive with their own personalities, ideas and abilities, and then seeing them develop their movement skills, confidence and independence as they progress.

Liezl is also involved behind the scenes of competitive Parkour. She serves as a scorer at the Parkour National Championships, as well as at club competitions in Gauteng and the Free State, giving her the opportunity to experience the sport from both the coaching and competition sides.

Her involvement with Agility goes far beyond coaching. Liezl is actively involved in Agility Gymnastics Club and is one of the club’s directors, helping support the club and the children who are at the heart of it.

What makes Liezl special is her genuine passion for the little ones. She celebrates the small victories just as enthusiastically as the big ones and is often one of the kids’ biggest supporters. Whether it’s a first jump, finally overcoming an obstacle, finding the courage to try something new or simply having fun moving, Liezl is there cheering them on.

For her, Parkour is about more than getting from one obstacle to the next — it’s about giving children the confidence to explore, try, fall, get back up, think creatively and discover just how much they are capable of.

LITTLE MOVES. BIG COURAGE. ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES.
